Tow bars have recently become part of an MOT test. So you guys with tow bars make sure it's properly secured and safe to use etc

them im thinking it dose not matter???
don't they need big metal plates in the boot for them to be fitted propaly?

not really plates, mine was attached to some 1.1/2"ish box section so its braced quite well with just that
what if you have one of those removable ones? Think it leaves all the assembly behind but the hitch just disconnects
It all still needs to be secure and in good condition, no excessive rust etc.
its why the good lord invented wire brushes and hammerite
