Rocker off,
Airbox off
cambelt cover off,
belt off,
spanner on cam, cam sprocket off
back cover off
stat out, replace
rebuild as above

Sound about right? Set the tensioner to old.

Hows the old 8vavlers TDC?

So can i leave the cam pulley in place to remove the back cover?

Andy, quick fire question, Im no fed up of being blasted with arctic cold air because me heaters dont work. I think the stat is stuck, (Possibly open). So that means cambelt off, cam pulley off, stat out ect

You reckon i could get away with putting just a stat on it and a new belt ?

Umm, its a little expensive for me. There is one in Nottingham for about £25. I might go for the sake of meeting people, depending on funds. But Nottingham vs Northampton vs Price... Hmm
